Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Staff friendly. Service OK. Food is average though I'm not sure there is any better in the dells.

We make sure to stop here everytime we are close by. You won't regret getting an order of fries-so good. You have to try their white pizza and meat lovers pizza. This place never disappoints.

Best chicken fettucini alfredo I ever tried!!!!

Dining in the Dells can seem limited when you've been there for a few days. We walked in close to closing time, but they were still happy to serve us. Sausage and jalapeno pizza was so good, but super spicy! No long wait. Very simple, somewhat dated, pizza place. Better than Carvelli's down the street.

The pizza here is great, my family comes to Pizza Villa every summer when we visit. The prices are reasonable and the staff is always friendly. We went recently and it seems the place has been revamped a bit which was nice to see. Pizza Villa in my personal opinion has the best pizza and pasta in Wisconsin Dells. Thumbs up!

You can get better pizza from your grocery store freezer. No flavor at all. The resturant is dim and dingy. Doesn't look like they clean the tables. Good place to go if you feel like wasting your hard earned money.

Fries and pan pizza are great. Very affordably priced tasty food. Staff was very friendly.

AGAIN overpriced, but yes yes I know, we are in the Wisconsin DELLS. Luckily, I had a $20 for $12 Groupon, so that helped. BUT the portion size was perfect. I hate to waste food. And my spaghetti with meatballs was good. Two big ole tasty balls atop decent marinara and noodles. I added some parm and crushed red pepper, good to go. We also got the bread assortment appetizer; it came with cheesebread, breadsticks and garlic bread. I'm not a garlic bread fan, but the other two were pretty good. I asked the waitress what kind of bread was used for the cheesebread and she seemed to get annoyed. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't garlic bread with cheese melted on top, which is what alot of places like to do. SORRY. Beer here is a GREAT deal if you get a pitcher, it's like $8.50, but if you get individual glasses it's like $4-5, which is what I had to do because I didn't have a drinking buddy. I like the atmosphere; kind of cozy and romantic and QUIET aka no screaming little ones running around. Always a plus.

Stop here if you're looking for really good pizza with a nice amount of mozzarella cheese and top notch chicken Alfredo, man it was good!!! The prices are a little steep but there is a Groupon that might help a bit, saved us $10. The service was good even though it was busy and seemed to be only 2 waiters for the entire restaurant. We ate, left full and happy. This is one of the better places to eat in The Dells!! Try it out!!

  • Phil H.

The pizza was not bad, just a little overdone and barely warm when it arrived after 1:15. The sizes however are very small for the price and the "garden" salad was iceberg lettuce, shredded mozzarella and a small amount of very thin mushrooms and green peppers. Maybe it's better going there.

Had a groupon. Even with groupon we spent a total of $34 for two large pan pizzas. Had a meat lovers and it was very salty. The other was their special pizza. Nothing special about their pizza . It reminded me of Dominos maybe a little better but expected it to be better .I'm from Chicago so maybe I'm spoiled with all the great pizza joints. Would not go back .

I really enjoyed their white pizza and the staff was very friendly. When I come back to Dells, I will definitely eat here again.

  • Annette A.

The pizza here was wonderful. We had the thin crust which was light and crispy. The sausage was flavorful. The toppings and cheese were a generous proportion with just the right amount of sauce. This place is truly a hidden-in-plain-sight gem. When in the Dells, you should check this place out. I know we will be back.

I am so happy to have gone to the Pizza Villa! The food was really great here and the service was good as well. The exterior of the building is oringinal and you can tell this place has been around for a long time We got a pan style pizza along with the Villa Salad. We tried the Lasanga and it was excellent. The sausage was great. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. The food came fast and i would recomend this over the other two pizza and italian resturants downtown. The prices were right on! Must try this place if you are in town!

Okay pizza, but not great. The sauce is over-sweet, the cheese is questionable and sometimes the toppings are a bit iffy (gray tomatoes, stuff like that). The thin crust is nice, though. I also like the breadsticks probably more than I should. The restaurant itself is somewhat depressing. If you're there any time other than the summer, there will be nobody there. Even during the tourist season, most people gravitate towards the huge restaurants near the waterparks, so this place never gets unbearably crowded. The decor is a sad attempt at an Italian theme, but it's nice in a campy sort of way. Not a lot of restaurants do it this way any more. The men's bathroom is run-down and needs a renovation. I avoid it if I can. Obviously, I can't speak for the women's bathroom but it's probably not much better. It sometimes seems like downtown Dells is dying, so it's always nice to patronize the local establishments. This place seems to do a brisk delivery business, however, and since there's not much good food in the Dells they're probably going to be around for a while.

We ordered two pizza's. They came pretty quickly and they were nice and hot. But they had no taste at all. Basically the pizza's had no sauce. How do you forget the sauce? No seasoning at all. I will never order from them again

  • Daniel B.

Decent pizza at a low price. I really dug their sausage, but their sauce was kind of bland. It was good enough that might go back, but I also might have to try a different place.

  • Gabrielle P.

My family vacations in the Dells every summer and we ALWAYS order pizza from here at least one night! They have low prices and the leftovers are always yummy. We always order out, so I don't know much about dining in- but I highly recommend trying it.

  • Jessica G.

We ordered pizza from here because they had a sign in our hotel room for free delivery and 5 free breadsticks with a pizza order. We ordered 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni pizza (8 slices). It came to $22 with the tip. The pizza was decent, but nothing to brag about. The sauce was bland (which was also the same sauce they gave for the breadsticks). The breadsticks were good, but they had an odd taste to them. The delivery guy was also rather rude. The lady at the front desk of the hotel said it was the "best pizza" in downtown (Dells, of course). Maybe I'm a little too picky as I'm from Chicago, but we definitely will not be ordering from Pizza Villa when we visit the Dells again.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
